The Carberry Soap Company started operations in the home kitchen of owner Margo Stinson in 2002. Located in the quiet suburbs of Ajax, Ontario, the name Carberry is actually from the name of the street she lived on!Carberry Soap - making the world smell better... one bath at a time!
With a focus on handmade, natural ingredients, Carberry Soap became well known at farmer's markets and Pop-up Shops in the Durham Region. Margo eventually decided to open her own store in the quaint, lakeside boardwalk area in Pickering. The beautiful soap shop on Liverpool Road became a staple in one of the most popular tourists destinations in the eastern suburb of Toronto.
In 2015 Carberry Soap made the big jump from retail sales to focus on wholesale and moved production to downtown Toronto. In the historic neighbourhood of Corktown (just north of the Distillery District) Margo established a Soap Kitchen ready to meet the demands of a growing business focused on retailing in local small boutiques in the Toronto and GTA. In the 100+ year-old brown-brick building, she and her team of soap makers craft each bar by hand, plus wrap and label each bar with love and care.
Carberry is proud to offer a wide variety of beautifully crafted, handmade soap. Product lines include Organic Goat's Milk Soap, Gourmet Bars and the Carberry Cakery, a line of stunning soaps which look just like delicious Cakes and Cupcakes! These product lines are available at a variety of Retailers and Farmer's Markets in Toronto and surrounding areas. Also offering custom orders, Carberry Soap can also offer customers unique, personalized party favours to suit a wide range of events from birthday parties to wedding showers.
